Two thousand two hundred thirty-seven

Such a large number of beautiful works from children in thirteen countries across Europe and Asia were submitted to the 26th edition of the international art competition Žitnoostrovské pastelky. A five-member expert jury, consisting of Professor PaedDr. Daniela Valachová, PhD., Mgr. art. Marcel Mališ, ArtD., Mgr. art. Katarína Defeo Fiúza Siposová, ArtD., Mónika Várszegi, and led by academic sculptor Alojz Drahoš, PhD., met on February 19, 2025, from the morning until the late afternoon in three rounds. The selection was challenging due to both the quality and quantity, but for all of us, it was a great artistic and personal contribution.
